Magnetic separator installation steps and precautions

A magnetic separator is generally composed of a drive device, a drum, a tank and other parts. Drum magnetic separator is composed of electric vibrating feeder, rotating drum, material brush, ore separating bucket, ore separating device, frame and driving device. Before the installation of the drum magnetic separator, the equipment should be checked and accepted, disassembled and cleaned, and the gear meshing of the driving part, the bearing clearance, the relative position of the drum and the tank body, etc. should be adjusted.

Magnetic separator installation steps:

1. Choose a suitable ground or foundation. Installed on a flat and solid concrete or steel foundation, the magnetic separator feet should be kept stable and the force should be evenly received, and the deformation of the frame caused by uneven foundation should be avoided.

2. After fixing, first install the bottom beam-magnetic pole head-vertical shaft and turntable-upper beam-transmission device to conduct the excitation coil withstand voltage test, and then use a crane to install the transmission device, bottom beam, upper beam, magnetic pole head, turntable, and vertical shaft in sequence , Exciting coil and so on.

3. After the installation is completed, the tank body should be tested for leaks before the test run. Rinse all parts of the equipment with clean water, and then turn on the power to adjust the magnetic separator to the best state.

Matters needing attention when installing the magnetic separator:

1. The focus of installation is to adjust the verticality of the vertical shaft, the levelness of the turntable, and the air gap between the turntable and the two magnetic heads. The axes of the arc surfaces of the turntable and the two magnetic heads should coincide.

2. The installation accuracy requirements are: the limit deviation of the centerline of the equipment is ±3mm, and the limit deviation of the elevation is ±5mm; for magnetic separators installed in rows, the centerline straightness tolerance is 3mm, and the relative elevation difference is not greater than 3mm.

3. After installation, make sure that the machine will not loosen, and that there will be no leakage and short circuit in the line detection.
